New website.
GlitterGlamourGore.com has, for some unknown reason, been suspended. I can’t possibly imagine why. The most offensive thing I ever published on that website was Ebony, and I yanked that months ago for revision. [Version Godonlyknows coming sometime this Winter. I will be posting the complete version for free on whatever webspace I'm occupying at the time.] Presumably, some fundamentalist Christian took offense to the Nephilim. I certainly get enough complaints about it on e-mail…
Let me explain:
My entire family is Catholic. I went to Catholic school for years. I have nothing but respect for that religion; it’s a religion of ridiculous excess and fervor, and I like that. I’m all about excess. There is nothing in the Nephilim that was not referenced to in the Bible. I apologize if the idea of angels impregnating humans offends you, and perhaps it should, but if you believe in the Bible then you have to believe that it happened. I didn’t write the Bible, I only read it. And the Nephilim is only my take on what would happen if those stories were true. Do I personally believe that there’s the spawn of angels walking around causing trouble? Of course not. I, personally, take the Bible as a set of stories providing moral guidance and spiritual structure, not as a literal history, and perhaps you should consider that perspective as well.
If you took offense to that story, then you shouldn’t be reading. You should be sticking your head into a blender. I appreciate the constructive criticism, of course, but reporting it to my host? Art isn’t meant to follow or even to shape rules, it’s meant to break them.
So anyways:
This is the only place where I will be posting work [aside from the occassional article on my Myspace] so anything you see anywhere else is fake and should be reported to glitteroid@yahoo.com.
